" Usually I have a crazy sex drive and I imagine that I think about it as much as a guy would. I think with the PCOS it's the increased testosterone. I've been on birth control for 3 months now and yeah my sex drive lately is pretty low or maybe it's just more normal and I see it as low.

Hopefully it comes back but instead of waiting I found this natural herb that is supposed to boost sex drive, energy levels, and supposed to help naturally balance hormones. It's called maca root and it's a radish like plant grown in Peru. They have festivals in Peru where they add it to like everything then the whole town is just happy and horny lol so I figured it was worth a try. If anyone is curious I'll be happy to report my progress one way or the other when I start taking it. "

" Amanda, metformin helps balance out your hormone levels. As you know, women with pcos have more testosterone than normal women which creates the high sex drive. With the metformin starting to normalize your hormones, you testosterone levels may be decreasing and estrogen increasing which would result in the loss of your sex drive. I know I am putting my 2 cents in late, but just thought I'd add that this is not unusual according to my doc. "

" I can certainly understand about the sex drive. I have been on metformin since the first of June and my sex drive also went away!! Which before then it was high. My husband is not feelin the whole metformin thing either LOL! For me I may watch a movie ;) (hint hint). It work sometimes for me. "
