Hi everyone,
heres my situation...
Ive always had an irregular period, i had an ovarian cyst removed 4 years ago. Since i stopped the pill, my period is now non-exsistant. I havent had my period in 7 months (which is when i stopped the pill) My boyfriend and i are trying to conceive, and it is not working. Ive been to the hospital twice this year due to sharp ovary pain, and they just diagnosed me with PCOS... I have read alot online about it, but ive been hearing all kinds of different symptoms and stories. I am so scared i will not be able to have children. Even though i try not to think about it, i cant get this off my mind. I do not currently have health insurance, so i can not go to a regular doctor/ obgyn, im stuck going to a clinic with student doctors, and most of them are non helpful = / I know i need to get my period, but i need another option besides the pill if i want to get pregnant... any advice is appriciated! thank you in advance.

" I tried Metformin for 3 months but no luck with it.. i never had a period while I was on it.. I am now about to start my first round of Clomid this month. So Wish me luck on TTC. O and by the way Clomid is very INEXPENSIVE so its good if you dont have insurance. "

" Having PCOS doesn't mean that you can't get pregnant it is just a greater challenge to do so. I agree with the others everyone has differnent symptoms. For me I have multiple cysts on both sides, facial hair, and High Blood Pressure. I have regular periods and ovulate regularly. The other thing that PCOS does is increase the MC rate which is why it is so important to see your doctor and develop a program targeted for you and combatting your issues. With treatment Metformin or Fortamet the MC rate drops back down to the same range as a woman without PCOS. To borrow my DH's favorite saying Don't give up until the Doctor says you can't have one and even then if it's God's plan you will have one anyway. Faith, Hope and Baby Dust. XO :) "
