I stopped in Wal-Mart last night after work to grab a few things before going home. Well I get all the way to the back of the store to get a gallon of milk and the sudden urge to go hits me. Lucky for me the restrooms are right by the milk cooler, right. WRONG! That stupid mean janitor guy was cleaning them and would not let me in even for a quick go. I tried begging and reasoning with this man but he so unreasonable. In the end he told me I'd have to walk to the front of the store to use those restrooms.
Fine so I'm doing my best to make it to the front restrooms before going on myself. I get to the restrooms just in time to see this crazy long line out of the ladies room. Of course there's a line when you have to go go go due to stupid Metformin. In the end I couldn't hold it any longer and it was completely out of my control. All I could do was hold my head high buy a change of clothes, some soap, and washcloths. Clean myslef up and change in the restroom that was suddenly totally empty. Then finish my shopping so I wouldn't have make a mad dash to the store in the morning for milk and diapers. Like PCOS isn't bad enough, we have to take meds that causes us to go 500,000 times a day without much notice. Made worse by a supercenter's need to lock up a set of restrooms at exactly 9:00 pm. The whole store is open all night, but not these restrooms. It's crazy, or I'm crazy for cleaning up and then finishing my shopping. Posted on 06/09/09, 12:06 pm |

I am so going to yell at the pharmacist now. I was prescribed the ER at 1000 mg a day, and that poop head said it wasn't on the list.

if the "poop" head is still being a "poop" head, get your doctor to write the script to say 2 500mg Metformin XR and then the pharmist can fill it. I take 3 500 mg tablets so i know that it is covered

I think you should find said janitor and piss in his mop bucket - or down his leg! That is terrible! We just get no respect!

See if you can switch to Spironolactone. Metformin gave me similar side affects this one doesn't at all.

I agree with a previous post that extended release metformin will help with stomach issues. -been there done that!- And if you cannot get ER from your Wal-mart, try Target. I am on 2000 mg daily of ER. It costs me $8 for a 30-day supply because what I technically get is a 60-day supply. I have been on Metformin since February and have always gotten my pills from either Target or Wal-Mart. Good luck!
