Hello, I was diagnosed in '06. I know all the probs that come with this but, i am now having high blood pressure. I am doing a diet right now to try and control it bu, for the life of me I am so frustrated.
Now, if any of u ladies are going thru this please let me know. What are u taking herbal or perscribed medications? I am very stressd over this and we all know stress contributes to our PCOS. Any hep would be appreciated.

" I also have PCOS and High Blood Pressure. Like tishie1993 said they go hand in hand according to everything I read. I am taking HCTZ and Labatelol, which is safe to take during pregnancy. With these two meds my BP is controled very well. I have no side effects from either one other than the HCTZ being a water pill I pee a good bit, but that is a good thing, it is doing it job. I wish you the best of luck. "

" I also have high blood pressure and the doctor attributes it to the PCOS. Weight Control plays a huge roll. I lost 20 lbs and was able to get completely off the meds. I of course gained it back and have had problems with it since but am working on reducing the weight again now. I am on labetalol 400mg now. I don't know what they will switch me to while pregnant. When I was pregnant before they left me on the labetalol but it was only 100mg then. "

" I am on HCTZ as well. I was only taking one a day but at my prenatal appointment they increased it to two. Fortunately that has been able to control it so far. GL! "

" I had high blood pressure before I was ever diagnosed with PCOS. Fortunately I'm not taking a high dosage and should be off of it soon because my blood pressure seems to be stabilizing. I'm just hoping that it doesn't relapse after I stop taking my meds because I have been taking them for about a year. I am only taking 5 mgs of Ziac. "
