Hello friends. I am passing along some information that I received from my RE today. I had been switched from Glucophauge to Avandia because of the side effects that I had on Glucophauge. My RE called me HIMSELF today. He said that he had just received notice that PCOS patients needed to be removed from AVANDIA immediately if you are not a true diabetic. It can cause long term damage of your heart. I just thought I would share. It must have been really important if my RE called instead of his nurse. If you are taking Avandia, please call your dr.

I just watched a news story on this. It said that people on Avandia are 43% more likely to have a heart attack or die. Holy cow!!!

My Mom called me today and told me that Avandia was what her Dr put her on for her diabetes! She was watching GMA and they did a story on the HUGE risks involved. So, she called her Dr and she is never going to take it again. They are putting her on another type of med called Actos. I'm going to be researching that to make sure it's safe! I don't want to lose my MOMMY!!!
