It's the newest form (so im told) of a slow release metformin pill. I have been trying for 8 years to stick with metformin. Guess what? This one hasn't given me any side effects so far. I haven't had any stomach pains.
On the regular metformin I usually had to start off with half of a 250mg pill just to ease in to it. This time I took a full 500mg pill and i felt fine (had a headache though). I hope this continues. I will be on 500mg for a month, then a 1000mg for another month, then up to 1500mg. Keeping my fingers crossed. If you have had problems as I have, try asking your dr for Glumetza :) Posted on 10/31/07, 12:10 pm |

2nd day of treatment. i woke up feeling awesome. nausea is starting in, but its really mild. but it beats everything else i've tried. this form of metformin is really worth staying on. take it from me, the person who is very sensitive to medicine.
