Well my doctor gave me a 10 day dosgae of provera to try and have a period... I finished my last pill 10 days ago today. I still have not seen a cycle nor do I think I am anywhere near having one. Usually I cramp really bad for a week or so before I start and well no cramping here.
I called my doctor today because I cant take the anticipation anymore. I asked her what our next option is. She said to wait until my next appointment which is November 17th and if I have not had a cycle by then she will give me Prometrium. I have never heard of this and am curious if any of you have ever taken it? I am also wondering for those of you that Provera didn't start a cycle for what did you doctor give you? I have heard of a progestrone shot in oil or something like that. Can anyone tell me about it? Please give me names of any medications that helped you, besides birth control as thats not an option because we are starting clomid as soon as I have a cycle. Posted on 11/06/09, 01:11 pm |

What was the dose of provera? When I was on it for ten days my doctor doubled my dose from 5 mg to 10 mg. I cycled and then we did clomid with no luck. I am still a fan of ovarian drilling to get the cycles going! However not every doctor is willing to perform the surgery or jump to that with out trying a bunch of other stuff first!
I hope you cycle soon! Hugs, Leanne
