Hi my name is jenny and I'm 18. I was told i had PCOS two weeks ago and while I was in the doctors office I was obviously freaked out with the news and I forgot to ask any questions. If you can answer even just one I'd really appreciate it.

I was put on provera to make me get my period but I already finished my 10 pills and still nothing..is that okay?

I get horribly sharp pains in both ovaries. It hurts to sit, laydown, stand up straight, breath deeply. Is that normal? I felt like that all day and night on monday and again on wed. (i;ve felt like that before but these were the most recent days) my doctor tells me to take tylenol if i'm in pain but that does nothing but take a very little bit of the edge off.

I get randomly very very tired. to the point where i want to take a nap. I could be very upbeat and at the drop of a hat I'm tired.. normal?

I'll get weird mood swings or crazyy emotional over any little thing..I'm guessing thats from the hormones maybe?

andd...I believe thats it lol. I'd very much appreciate any answers anyone has or tips to help me feel a bit less crazy lol

" I've taken Provera for 10 days also and my period shows up about 3-4 days after the last pill. About you getting tired check to see if your blood counts are normal. I also have the mood swings all the time. Hope this helps. "

" give the provera a week to work, some bodies dont metabolize it as quickly.

are you having panic or anxiety attacks. that's kind of what it sounds like.

i am the queen of napping. i think a lot of it has to do with our hormones being off and our bodies not handling sugar as well as it should. i used to go to cookouts with friends and fall asleep on the couch around 9pm- i was 20. everybody thought i got drunk and passed out!

moodiness is WAY normal.

hope that helps a little. "
