Hey Ladies, i really need some advice - ive been diagnosed with PCOS since the beggining of this year and i went back to my doctor today for some advice as ive been feeling really crappy more than usual lately, she was really unhelpful this time round baring in mind she did say to go back to her when she first diagnosed me, with any questions or if maybe i wanted to go on the contraceptive pill to control my periods and regulate them more. Well i decided i wanted to go on the pill and she took my blood pressure but it was too high so she said i couldnt go on the pill at this time...... So ive gone away wondering what to do now, i am over weight and i know i need to lose weight but i feel she hasnt helped me at all, ive tried losing weight for a few months now but nothings really working, i really am wondering if their are any members on here from the UK who might know of any good specialists i could go and see?!? any advice or comments id really welcome :) xxx

Hi
Doctors are really dare I say it crap at PCOS! Get a referal to see a Gyno, If you cant take BC ask for Metformin or other medications. The quicker the better Ive been waiting since Sep to see my Gyno and still have to wait untill Dec! Good Luck
