I am 24 years old and I have PKD I have one little girl already and I am wanting one more before the PKD gets worse I am at 59% kidney function. My husband is so afraid to have another one because he doesn't want to pass it on I was also in the hospital 6 weeks prior to having my little girl they were getting pre clampsia and PKD all mixrd up. Also I am in the Army Reserves and wondering if you could stay in the military with this disease? I go to my Drs tomorrow I just want to find out from any on you.

what did you find out from the doctors? And from the military?

the genicics can only decide whether your child will have pkd...both my uncle and my dad have pkd...it has ended with them....i do not and neither does my cousin...it is prodomanantly given to the males in the family....I hope this helps you.
