Just curious because I tend to get them every 3 months or so. I am on antibiotics for "after sex" but still get them.My first symptom is extreme mental and physically fatigue , all I do is stay in bed...then the flank pain appears and then efever.

Anyone have this

By the way this could go on for 2 weeks until you end up in hospital like I did 5 times

" I'm sure you know all about proper sexual hygiene, washing before and after intercourse, wiping from front to back and all that. if you are not in a committed relationship then all your partners should use a condom. if you are in one then your partner should be examined to see if he is harboring some harmful bacteria. even so it may be better if he used a condom too. a man who won't protect his partner is a man worth dumping. frequent infections take a heavy toll on your body and can speed up kidney failure.
drinking plenty of water regularly, cranberries can help prevent UTIs. you should always have a large glass of water near you and sip at it. you don't have to guzzle it down, just keep drinking all day. pee when you feel the urge, don't hold it in. it doesn't do any good in your bladder. "

" I used to have occasional kidney infections and when I did, they were pretty bad and required hospitalization! I started drinking cranberry juice and taking more care with before and after sexual intercourse hygiene and I haven't had one since. My oldest daughter used to get UTI's constantly and was on antibiotic supression therapy for years. We finally took her to Mayo and they suggested that it was from chronic constipation! We put her on a good bowel regimen and they almost completely went away! The other ladies have given you some great advice, I would only add to stay away from any feminine deodorant sprays, wear only cotton crotched panties, no bath salts or bubble bath, dye free/fragrance free laundry detergent and no scented feminine supplies of any kind. All of these things can attribute to frequent UTI's.
Hopefully you are feeling better soon.
