  • In the Hospital

    Monday, April 7, 2008 | A Breaking News story

I just wanted to let everyone know that I am in the hospital.  I went to my OB today and was dialated almost 3 cm.  He told me to go home, get my bags, and head straight to the hospital.  Our game plan is for me to be here for 2 weeks and then we will deliver the babies at 35 weeks.  I just wanted to let everyone know.

  • Our tax deductions arrived on tax day!

    Tuesday, April 15, 2008 | A Breaking News story

Andy and I now have two tax deductions!  Nora Jane and Colton Edward arrived this evening in grand fashion.  My water broke at 3:25 PM and I was already dialated 5-6 cm.  Within an hour, I was already to 7 cm.  They rushed to get my IV in and carted me off to the operating room once I said the magic phrase, "My contractions are getting stronger".  We had an emer...

    BFP
I am in total shock right now.  Yesterday I was trying to keep my head above water and remain optimistic about future months.  I had 100% written this month off.  This is my first confirmed pregnancy.  I have never been so excited.
I ran out after work today (I may as well have left because I don’t know I got anything done there) and bought a cute little onsie a...

Well, not to my RE's and embryologist's surprise, but definitely to my surprise...
there are two sacs!  We are having twins.  Of course things are very early, but both sacs already have a defined yolk sac which is great at 5w 2d.  I am cautiously optimistic.  I feel completely confident we will have one.  As for the two, it's anyone's guess.  RE says t...

  • My miracle has arrived!!

    Saturday, October 17, 2009

I was gonna detail Ava's birth tomorrow, but I'm so exhausted that I can't sleep.  Plus Ava will need to eat in an hour anyway, so I'm gonna just wait so I can get some sleep afterwards.
So I went to the OB on Tuesday morning. I hadn't been feeling so well, and my back pain and contractions were getting worse the night before. James almost tied me up and took me to labor a...

  • SCARY DAY!

    Monday, October 19, 2009 | A Breaking News story

I had the scariest day ever today. It all started when I woke up at 3am with my upper back and chest hurting. I thought it was just muscular so I took Tylenol and went to bed. I woke up a few hours later hurting again and now spotting. I wasnt too concerned about the spotting since it was brown and I have done that here and there. My OB isnt concerned either. SO I was trying to take a nap and res...
