My mother had polio when she was 3 months old. That was in 1924. She was raised by a mother who would not allow her to consider herself as diaabled or different in any way. She has always be extremely independent.
Mother now has Post Polio Syndrome and I need to try to undestand what that is like. I am hoping someone here can get me to understand what mother is going through because now she is unable to be that independent woman Posted on 05/13/08, 09:05 am |
