in 2006 my lung collapsed they stuck a chest tube in me and in 4 days I was out of the hospital with a clean bill of health. last week I went to the ER because of severe pain in my back and neck it turns out I have four holes in my lung and a mass of cysts I have to see a surgeon on thurs but the doc says mu lung could collapse at any time. I am so scared and in so much pain has anyone been through anything like this. ANY ADVICE

" It very well may collapse again and then the doctor would probably be looking at a lung scrub or some other way to get rid of the blebs. If the blebs or masses pop, then it will force air into the chest cavity and most likely cause a full blown collapsed lung. You would be in the hospital for a few days again, until the holes are closed and the lung is re-inflated.
