Pleural Effusion

After a week long saga, I've been diagnosed with pneumonia and a pleural effusion. I was just put on a 5-day course of Avelox and given diladid for the pain (which was by far the worst I've ever experienced in my life...and this is coming from someone who had bilateral pulmonary emboli last year)..

Will the fluid just get reabsorbed? Do I need to push to have it drained? How long will it take for the fluid to be reabsorbed? Anyone else have this? How long did it take to heal?

Any help would be much appreciated.
