Hello,
I am interest in getting a tummy tuck. But am a little afraid. I have a wonder belly flap left over from having twins in 98. It drive me crazy, if I do lose any weight I do not go down in pants size because of it. I am not a small girl. I am fat by most people standard. But am in good shape because I work out regular and eat a balance diet. See I have a prolactinoma my hormone tell my body it is pregnant. It is controlled and better with the medication but makes it real hard to lose weight. My weight has been the same for about 2 years. Will my weight play a part in the surgery? How long is the recovery ? what is the cost? Is there any thing I should know? Thank you! Posted on 05/19/09, 02:05 pm |

I am not sure about weight considerations for tummy tuck. However, if you are planning to lose a lot of weight, it would be better to do it first before having the tummy tuck. Length of recovery time differs from one person to another. But usually, a month or less. Tummy tuck in the US costs around $6000-$8000. If you want a more affordable plastic surgery, it would only be around $4000 in Argentina. I hope that helps.:)

For more affordable tummy tucks you can go to mexico also. Some GBS patients that have gone to mexico for there tummy tucks swear by the docs down there. With flight, hotel and surgery, I have heard they pay 4500. Its worth checking out. But as they say, with anything medical you need to do a lot of homework. Study, study, study.
