" No it's not true at all!! I had a nose job on my 18th birthday and was expecting to be in agony despite my sugeon assuring me it's renouned for being painless. I'm a complete wuss and have an incredibly low pain threshold. I can promise you the only pain I felt throughout the entire procedure was when the packing was taken out. That did hurt but only lasted a few seconds. Other than that it didn't hurt at all!! "

" not true at all. there is some brusing around the eyes and stuff but there was no pain . i agree with missbpossi my eyes watered when they took out the packing thats it. if you really want it you should not care is my opinion. i was sick of being teased all my life so i did not care or consider that pain. its worthit . " First off Id like to say you are brave for going under the knife at 18. I wish you the best of luck with your cosmetic results. I had my first NJ at 17, (mom signed) haha, and i recently had another just to slim it just a litttle more at 20... Im done with it forever now i finally reached my goal for how i want it to look. So just be cautious that plastic surgery is so wonderful yet sometimes we go under. heal. and sometimes realize its not what we expected and want to go back for more. As far as the pain goes they will perscribe you painkillers so you will heal very comfortably, if anything I find it more emotionally painful to go though sitting inside wondering what it will look like until you take off the bandages and generally feeling weak and possibly lonely. Just make sure you have some one who will be there to takecare of you as much as possible and good luck "
