Just watched it off 20/20. If you missed it. I'm sure it will be on Youtube soon. It was very revealing about the abuse. And it reveal a lot of feelings and things that typical abused women go through. She needed to do this interview for young women and her fans... plus her album coming out.
But I encourage you all to watch it and let me know what you think. I think she did the right thing and I guess I like her again :-) Posted on 11/06/09, 11:10 pm |

Oh I read a comment on how sometimes women who experience emotional abuse try to belittle their feelings and I think Livn pointed out that women shouldn't feel that way because it is the emotional scars that damage you the most and Rihanna did say the same thing in her interview. Bloody noses, broken arms heal but its the emotional ones that take the longest.

I think that alot of people in hollywood are talking about their abuse now. Hopefully we will see the day where we can expose our abuser and the world no longer accepts it as the norm. Rhianna did the right thing. Now Oprah is stepping up on BeBe (gospel singer) not letting him come back for beating CeCe. Now if writers get on bored and stop encouraging Narc behavior in their scripts.
You just don't do this to another person and get rewarded for it.

I made it a priority to watch it. I'm so proud of her for stepping up and speaking out and setting an example for her young fans.
I was also glad to hear her point out that the reasons she felt the need to go back once the wounds have healed and how hard it is for women in these situations to "just leave". She nailed when she talked about the scars on the inside being the hardest to heal.

What shocked me most is how on youtube the video responses were so critical and downright ignorant. People are still very uneducated on domestic violence
Here's the link but it's not the full interview http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZU...

I was really impressed, she's really articulate. Don't read youtube comments though, you will get pissed off by how people will defend Chris Brown.

I am really impressed by how strong she seems to be. I left my ex one week before this happened to her and she seems to have a lot better grasp on her situation than I do on mine!
