So I started a jewelry and accessories business with what was supposed to my share of the income tax money owed to me this year, but he never gave it to me, so it came from my own bank account from disability money. He was livid. He could not STAND that I was making money. I think that's why he refused to pay my share because he thought it would break me and the business. Instead I took out a business credit card so I could continue to pay bills with my disability money and keep the business going to at least get my investment back.
Well, a friend of mine is very interested in investing in my business. As an accountant, he really knows his stuff, and has already given me lots of good, free advice regardless of whether we go in it together or not. After talking tonight, we have a plan that I will work out a proposal of what I need to pay for what, approximate returns, and we'll have a business dinner when I get the proposal ready. He has already looked at some of my merchandise and seems to like it. I'm going to be helping other women host "fashion accessories" parties, kinda like "sugar and spice" or "tupperware" parties. I'll bring the merch, and during the party the guests and host will be free to browse the merchandise and purchase. Besides that I will be registring at jewelry fairs and trying to get small chains in the area to carry my merchandise. I'm excited at the prospect of having a full-fledged successful business. Not just for the money, but to SPITE my abuser!!! He would go on and on about how I have no business sense, I'd never make money, I wasted hundreds of dollars, ect. ect. He even stole a lot of my supplies and merch when he moved out and refused to return them claiming he didnt' take anything. He tried everything to sabotage my business. I can't wait to prove him wrong. I would love to see his face walking into a store, his mistress picking up a necklace asking him to buy it for him, and it would be MY brand and design! HA! I respectfully disagree. I believe he withheld your share ----- NOT out of concern for negative outcomes and bad things happening to you ---- but because he was afriad that you would SUCCEED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! An abuser HATES to see their victim SUCCEED. It THREATENS them. Sending you wishes for bundles of success and all good things.

I would love to be the fly on the wall to see that happen too. Just to have his new interest fall in love with one of your creations is in itself a good reward.
