after I left my husband, I deleted all mutual friends and all of his relatives, after I had a similar experience.

One of the worst aspects of my split from my ex is the abuse I know receive from one of his friends. This guy obviously doesn't like me and he is spreading so many lies about me. It's actually quite damaging to me. I wouldn't mind if he just took his die, but to actively take part. Who does that?

I purposely left his family and mutual friends on my facebook and only post pictures showing how happy me and the kids are, nothing even slightly controversial.

Thank you for replying with your input ;) I tried to do what LIfebutnotasweknowit did which was leave mutial friends and his family up but it appears all of them; some of them or one of those people were twisting my words and posts around to him...I never mentioned him or is gf or got specific about him or her in any of them...i simply put up inspiring posts of funny ecards that made me laugh at my situatuion...if he took those personal then that just shows "how self absorbed he is and how i might be blowing his cover for the next victim!" He wants everyone to see him as the "all american boy"...and if the truth of what he really is gets out then he can't deal....unless he ends up befriending guys like himself.

I avoid the inspirational things etc because almost anything I enjoy shows something about me - my past abuse, my political or religious views, pokes fun at my ex etc. Instead I give him nothing other than that I'm a good mum who has zero interest in him and what he did. He's a narcissist after all...

It's what they always do, I had the exact same thing with my ex boyfriend. He even because girlfriend with my at the time really good friend 15 minutes after I refused to accept him back. But you are right they do get furious when they realize they aren't in control of your life any more. I had to delete all the friends of mine who were friends with him, or I had to properly explain what had been going on.

My ex & his married girlfriend went as far as her sending me a friend request. Ha!!! I blocked her too. Oh & this is the thing he left his family for.

Yeah they tell everyone their happy!!! Yet they keep focusing on us (victims), i had a friend tell me that he is "watching" me because he didn't think i'd really leave, that i'd stay and beg him to reconsider...YEAH RIGHT!!!
I've found that i can do this and i'm less stressed.. the tables have turned because instead of enjoying his "new found love" he's unable to believe he is no longer my world;) And never will be again!!!

I have never wanted to do fb...if I were in your shoes I would delete the account. But if it brings you joy I understand keeping it.

A truly evil ex friend sent me a friend request. I know very well that this was in no way a kind gesture. I had seen how she would friend people on various sites for the purpose of looking for things to pick on them about and then spread it around to everyone she knows....if they know that person or not. I had never been impressed. I handled this in a special way!

I have yahoo email. I don't remember if the thing she wanted to friend me for was yahoo or not. I just remember seeing at the bottom of the email something about reporting stuff. :) I reported her as someone who has been cyber stalking me over the internet on several sites and harassing me. I also said that I know that she has done this to other people.

I don't know what all happened with that, but I don't get any email from her now, friend request or otherwise. I like to think that yahoo banned her from all their stuff, but even if they didn't I don't have to deal with her.
