Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
I found out recently that my H was cheating. He's always been abusive but I stayed and said "well, he's this and that, but at least he's FAITHFUL." Then I didn't have that anymore and I just decided that I had enough. That it was the LASTSTRAW, hence my name. Anyway, I gave him until after Christmas to get out, but if he yells at me, calls me a name, is abusive in any way, he's out that day. He tried to "hoover" me. Just read that on here yesterday! Thank you! He went on and on about how he needs to be a better husband and father and that he will never hurt me again. He will be my slave, if I need water, he will get me water, he will do all the chores h e never did, he will worship me for the rest of his life for being such a bastard. Now, I'm not buying this BS at all because I've heard it a million trillion times before, but after a few days of him being "perfect" I decide to pretend that it might work out. Just to see. A test of sorts. I made him think that I would stay in the relationship if he continued to do the things he was doing. Well, no word of a lie, the next day, TODAY, he calls me at work and says he has a headache and is pissed he has to go coach basketball and I better have something ready for dinner. The uniforms for the first game tomorrow just came in and they are too big. I said the kids can just roll them over at the waist, he starts screaming that I need to send an email to the parents. Then he ORDERS me to call the uniform place, then ORDERS me to call the biggest kid on the team to make sure it fits him. Well he's not giving me a chance to respond, and when I finally do, I say NO. He's says "WTF? What are you mad about?" I hung up. He has to go tonight.
I just want to say, for everyone that has been in my place and has the same thoughts I do, that I have tried for 13 years. He NEVER changes. He says all the nice things and even does the nice things UNTIL HE THINKS I'VE GIVEN IN. Then he's RIGHT BACK to being an abusive SOB.
I wish I had better news, but they never change. The good news is that I'm finally going to live a peaceful life where no one yells at me and I can not make my bed, where things such as the wrong size uniform are not cause for a national emergency, where we can eat cereal for dinner if we want. No offense to anyone that likes the Phantom Gourmet ( a boston show), but I NEVER HAVE TO WATCH THAT F&*^ing show again. I never have to see him sleeping in the recliner while I run around doing everything not ever quite good enough. I can't wait to get rid of that chair. I may take an axe to it in a sort of cleansing ritual :)

mine would treat me like a goddess..he'd bring me up tea in bed (NEVER in a million years would he have done that before, if I was sick, had a newborn, etc..only at the end when I wanted to leave)..
I would get the goddess treatment consistently, until he decided that it wasn't getting what he wanted,and he would resort back to his old ways...
and now, I'll never EVER have to sit and scratch his greasy, bald head while he watched soccer.

Ironically, my husband owns a pair of fleece Miller Light pajama pants that I plan on doing a cleansing burning ritual with on New Years Eve. Those pants trigger me because he's an alcoholic and backstrokes in a sea of denial.
