This is a good descriptive book and has helped many people, including me, to see that they were being abused.

" I skimmed this in the bookstore and went back and bought it online. I'm waiting on it now. It looks really good. "

" I learned a lot from it. It was so helpful when I was just learning about abuse though I had been abused for ages.

The author is gifted at describing and naming what is going on. I learned that my husband was most definitely abusing me. Our counsellor did too when I showed him the book. "

" If you think you're crazy and question whether what the other person is abusive, this is a great book. Evans describes both overt & covert forms of abuse. She also offers suggestions as to how to deal with &/or respond to each one.

Highly recommend.
