Fear of Dentist.

I should say that I really don't fear the Dentist as much as I fear having to keep my mouth open during cleanings. I was in a car wreck many years ago and broke my jaw. I have this major fear of my jaw getting stuck open; so in the process of a procedure I will sit up in the chair or close my mouth at the wrong time. My Dentist tries to be patient, but the Hygienist is now hating me. I ruined a root canal by sitting up at the wrong time. I think I heard the Doc utter the F-bomb. :)

Anyone else have this problem?

" I don't have the same thing- but, when i was little i was terrified of losing my teeth. They put me to sleep to pull pretty much all of my baby teeth. When i am at the dentist now i pretty much shake in the chair the entire time. I really hate going!! "
