among my ridiculous phobias is one that I want to know if anyone else experiences....fear of passing out/being unconscious. To me, fainting is like my worst nightmare. I've only passed out once in my life but because of the fear I've developed severe panic disorder, agoraphobia, and intense, life controlling hypochondria. Am I alone?

I'd love to give you a medal for originality but this is very common! often the fear of something happening when you are out and about etc. will definately stop you in many cases!
I'm interested in finding out about this time you passed out, it could well hold the key to helping you get past this. If you are happy to share, then post it here or mail me direct, id be glad to help you if i can! H.

Hey...thanks for responding...I'd love to hear your opinion. I passed out one time when I was 9 years old. I used to ride horses competitively and it was at a horse show. It was very hot and there were a lot of people there and I got stung by a bee(not allergic). I fainted and when I woke up I was in the back of my parents car being rushed to the ER with a splitting headache. I went to the ER and had to get blood drawn and it was very traumatizing. Thats pretty much it. I have gone through periods of time when this fear didn't control my life, but now it has reared its ugly head again....this time its come back with 10 heads...10 very angry controlling heads. Thats about it.

if you would be willing, id like to chat with you and in doing so try to dissolve the old association with that old memory, i can guide you to use your imagination to sever the emotion with the memory and then it will not have any effect on you as it has been!
you will still remember what happened, but it will have no emotion attached to it. This easy technique is one of the techniques i use every day to cure not only phobias etc but also very effective with post traumatic stress dissorder. im willing if you are? H.
