Hi,
My seven year old has been having tests done to rule out a pheo. We have done two 24 hr urine. The first one his VMA was slightly elevated (3.5) the second one his VMA was 27.9! Not to mention that his metanephrines and normetanephrines were through the roof high!! My gut tells me this is what it is. I am wondering if anyone has any advice for us. Also, does anyone know if a low dose ADHD medicine could cause these high numbers? His endocrinologist isn't calling me back and I'm very frustrated!! I went to the lab and got the results myself.
Thanks!
