How fast do they grow?

I have narcolepsy and cataplexy, and when I complained of abnormal heart rhythms I had it checked out, they couldn't record what I described, but I do have lots of eptopic beats. they told me that this was normal and probably got worse because of my narc meds.
Last march I had debilitating pain in my right side, and a urine dip showed blood and protein. I started a course of anti biotics as they suspected a UTI. The lab results came back as no infection and the pain went away after a week, so I assumed it must have been a stone, and forgot about it. Over the spring I lost my appetite and my periods and put on weight around my upper abdomen. Blood tests showed that I was not in the menopause, so I assume that its just life and forget about it. i didn't bother the doc with the hot sweats because again i assumed that they were a side effect of my anti cataplexy medication. Last week I started having real bad pain in my back and I noticed loads of fine hair around my chin and on my arms. Putting 2 and 2 together I went to my doc who agrees, I've had every blood test under the sun and my urine still has protein and blood in it, they are checking for infection just in case. I go back on tuesday for the results, and if the blood results point to a adrenal adenoma/carcinoma then i will be referred to a specialist and in the UK can expect to see one within two weeks. Sorry this is so long, but over the last few days the pain in my side/back and sometimes all across my abdomen seems to be getting much worse, could this be because I am now aware of it/worried about it. or could it be because the tumour has / is growing. How fast do these things grow? Am I even on the right support group? am I going mad?? Is it making my eyes bulge? can it affect my swallow - or is my sore throat a coincidence? will I have to join the circus as the bearded lady? please help... Posted on 10/15/08, 06:10 pm |
