My symptoms to share

Hi all. A few years ago I was diagnosed with an ulcer, though symptoms had been going on for ages before then. This was successfully treated with antibiotics and antacids so must have been H Pylori I guess. Have been almost pain free until a month ago. Started getting sharp pain just below my sternum, below rib cage…towards the middle, and odd back pain every now and then. Other symptoms include upset stomach with mild pains at times, belching and nausea and loss of appetite. I know I also suffer from IBS which my GP said could result from an ulcer.
GP has prescribes Lansoprazole. This keeps the acid at bay but does not stop the dull pain in my chest. Is this normal? (I suppose the pain is where my ulcer is and Lansoprazole only keeps the acid at bay?).
Have been taking aloe vera gel and ginger chews…still early days I suppose?

Anyone in the same boat and want to share?

Thanks
S
