I was treated for H pyloria about 4 yrs ago, I still have continued belching ( not noticable to others) I was on Nexium for 3 weeks and stopped becasue of terrible cramping, Ive been on Xifaxan for 6 days and need to start protonix, but afraid of more side effects. How long does it take to heal a peptic ulcer and will the belching go away with treatment as the ulcer heals...otherwise no pain

" My ulcer healed in about 2 months, but I still burp more than I used to and also can be very gassy the other way at times. I have to really watch what I eat and drink.i have some other issues too, acid reflux and gastroparesis which is a problem with stomach emptying so I don't know what is causing what, I just know it's annoying and miserable "
