I recently finished off the rest of my antibiotic for my ulcer. My stomach has been feeling fine, the occasional burniing sensation but nothing as before. However I have been having really bad bathroom issues (hate to get too specific but diarrhea) Is this common or should I get some more medicine?

Hey,
What antibotic regimine did you take for your ulcer. Were you diagnosed with H.Pylori?? I wondering because I just had an endoscopy and was told that I have H.Pylori & that I must start an antibiotic treatment this week.... Karin

Yea, I was diagnosed with H. Pylori, they gave me a Prev. Pack with like 4 pills for the morning and 4 at night

If you don't mind, how did the course of treatment go for you? Did the antibiotics make you sick at all (how long did u take it for?)and after enduring it, did it get rid of the H.Pylori??

did you get really sick because I did with mine and I can't take the prevpac cause I have allergies to penacillin and erythromycin so the other meds are a lot harder on you which is awful .

Hi in answer to your question. I had chronic upset stomach and sickness before taking the OPremelose then when the course ended the upset tummy and sickness returned. So now I am on twice the dose. I think the amount of acid the ulcer makes causes the runs and the sickness. Just guessing.
