Well this is how it is in my life right now. I am suppose to be on total bedrest. I do after all have a traumatic brain injury and a seizure disorder. On Saturday, I got diagnosed with exhaustion and malaise. A sure fire recipe for a seizure. But I am up and have been since I was rudely awaken at 5:30am..........to get the hubby ready and off to work in good order.

I do not belong anywhere
I am a piece to a puzzle that was never to be made
The only thing that ever allowe me to feel like the others
Was the deep pain, the sorrow, the blade
Like the seed of a flower
Without what was needed to grow
What my life may have been if I had them
I shall sadly never know
I have had enough of hearing of these things

I turn my head and silently fall apart
I swear I'll never let him see
The pain he's causing, the damage done
Everytime he glares at me, impatiently.
This stray tear in my eye is just an old sweet
melody
Of what was and what still haunts me
It's an old tune that plays in my head
As he huffs and puffs at me, impatiently.
My spirit's all but broken in hell's furious wake
His misplaced, but well aimed angers cut to the quick
The rebel soul seethes inside me
As he slams another demand, into my hand, impatiently.
With no words at all
I'm impatiently told
That I'm not good enough
Broken down, jaded, and sold
All these silent words
Should mean nothing at all
But they strike harder, sting more
than any slap
They cut wide and leave a deeper scar
A carefully concealed trap.
With no voice to call my own
My burning heart waits for time and me
To stand still, get real
And get free, impatiently.
