Ringing in my ears?

Lately, I have this ringing in my ears, very high pitched. I began about a month ago.
The odder thing is, I had my hearing re-tested and have lost 10 decibels of hearing in a years time on top of the hearing loss I had before. I got hearing aids about 3 yrs ago that I hate to wear, so I haven't. But, my hearing is worsening. Its very embarassing when you hear one word and its a different. Anyone else hear ringing and if so, if I answer it--ha-ha....will it stop? Deanna Posted on 10/19/09, 12:10 am |

Hi Deanna, I get a ringing sound in both ears from time to time, either one or the other, I can't say it worries me as my hearing isn't impaired in any way, the ringing lasts for a few seconds and that's it. I don't think it's related to my PD.
I think in my case it's more than likely as a result of working in a noisey steel foundry years ago. I wish you well.. Dirk !!;O))x
