For the religious here, who think that PD has enhanced your life with understanding from others , or a wisdom that that the healthy dont understand. My views are: Well possibly very offensive, to the undeucated , but lets go for it

1. Does my suffering provide me with a courage and patience which offers the healthy an opportunity to show sympathy which you think helps me with my suffering NO, thats blind stupid thinking, to think that pd has inhanced your life with understanding from others, that has made you wiser in some form is stupid!! or totally desparate!

Pd has robbed us from healthy bodies,!! I think understanding from others, should always be there. Healthy or not. thats basic compassion

2. Does this disease provide society with an opportunity to invest money in trying to find a cure for this kind of suffering? Like the possible cure of Stem cell research? No you Americans dont go there because of massive misguided religious views.

3. Can any one discuss misguided religous views out their in an honest open forum. NO NO , religion is like the untouchable subject, which is a very naive view for the uneducated

4. Apparently althougth
a good god would regret our suffering, his greatest concern is surely that each of us shall show patience , sympathy and genorisity and thereby, form some form of holy character. CRAP!!!!

5. I want people to tell me their thoughts of God and disease. and why everyone in USA is so focused on God!

Then accept mine opinion and i will tell you why God doesnt exist .

" Mmmmmm i dont think Charles Darwin ever disputed evolution! Evolutionary changes are a very gradual thing, we would not see easily.

People are elvolving all the time, one little example is even the classic female shape of the 1950's , being small breasted and rather curvecous with hips. That shape for woman has changed , being women now seem to be losing that type of hip shape, and being larger breasted. This is a documented change

many other examples also "

" I can only feel sorrow for those who don't believe, I don't know where this idea comes from that only the poor, uneducated, and stupid believe in God comes from, but it overlooks the fact that many of the most educated, powerful, intelligent, and influential people, were and are religious. My God (no pun intended) the list is too long to print. I would be happy to discuss religion with anyone in a considerate and civil manner....but for what purpose? I am convinced that for those who do not want to believe.....nothing I can say will change their minds.
There is one thing that no one can disagree about......THOSE WHO DO NOT BELIEVE CAN NEVER KNOW IF THEY WERE RIGHT....ONLY IF THEY WERE WRONG.....AND THEN IT WILL BE TOO LATE!!! "

" Pepere., I would love to have an intelligent conversation and discuss religion in a considerate and civil manner. I get very passionate about my opionions , and sometimes come across as brutal. But i honestly dont disrespect anyone nor their opinions. "

" peachybum, I am also very passionate about my opinions and find that it sometimes takes enormous self-control to stay calm......so I know where you're coming from. Although faith/God/religion is my favorite topic in the whole world, it takes a lot of energy and time (Parkinson's!) to carry on lengthy written discussions which have no purpose or goal.
Peachybum, that is to say, what would be the purpose for us to discuss religion? If there is a worthwhile purpose then by all means, let's talk. "

" Peachybum, disregard my last post . I read your October 9, 2008 post "I don't believe in God, and this is why" and I better understand your viewpoint. It is good that you've studied the bible, it will facilitate discussion. It is important in a discussion of this magnitude that we be up-front with each other and lay our cards on the table. I have studied religion for most of my adult life and came to the conclusion some years ago that indeed there has to be a God, that he sent his only son (Jesus Christ) to us so that we might have eternal life. That Jesus Christ established his church on earth, that church is the Catholic Church, and though all else shall pass away.....his words will never pass. What I, and
his Church believe is found summarized in the Apostles' Creed.
My opening question in any religion discussion is "HOW DO YOU KNOW WHAT TO BELIEVE?" ie. How do you peachybum decide what is true and what is not? "

" Thank you pepere, would love to discuss this in depth. Im not naive in anyway about the bible, quite well read. I am sure both of us can discuss our differences on a mature level.

My motive,to change your mind.
Your motive, to change mine .

I did understand your concerns about pd , being tired, when you sent me that message, so li decided to leave it alone.

BUT!!!! We need to keep our brains active.

I come into this discussion with no malice, no disprespect, just my views, and confusion of why people belive in what l call the "God Delusion"

I will add you as my friend, and let the debate begin, will be fun :)

I have always enjoyed listening to others opinions. It seems tho, for the immature they take it as a personal insult "

" The only way any of us will know that Jesus Christ is the Living Son of the Living God is from the witness of the Holy Ghost. It can be very simple. I have had that witness for 40 years and now, after the many testimonies which have been borne of Him, this is the tesstimony last of all which I give of him - that HE LIVES and stands at the right hand of God. We must take opportunity to ask God if Jesus is Lord. I love you Peach. Janis "

" Sorry for the delay! It would take hours to just scratch the surface truly, but I have had several THOUSAND answered prayers, often saved from tragic accidents - one time the steering wheel was physically taken over.
My son was instantly healed in the ER in crazy screaming pain and a second time after 8 days of wretching was immediately healed and ate scrambled eggs, both times right after getting a priesthood blessing. I was instantly healed from ear pain and also 13 days of vomiting as well.

I had a drream of a man I knew who was dead and he told me he was buying a house for his grandchild so I woke up aand called hiss wwife-she said she was on her way to the attorney to sign papers for her grandaughter's house! I have had impressions from the holy ghost to do things which turned out to be vital-showing up on a friend's doorstep when she had just prayed & asked God to send her help on the worst day of her life-- Also suddenly showing up, unplanned turning iinto the driveway of 888 yr, old Clara who had just had a stroke. I could go on and on for days with stories.

At a funeral the singing volume DOUBled on a certain verse of HOW GREAT THOU ART and 2 of my friends said they heard it also (choirs of angels) and THEY told me which verse it kicked in on.

Many times weekly I am inspired with direction but greater still is the powerfuul conviction which often comes with a rush of goosebunps when someone shares a spiritual experience and witness of the gospel of Jesus Christ who will return to reign on earth for 1000 years - remove all disease and make the lamb and the lion to lie down together without any ire-King of all the earth and consign Lucifer to a bottomless pit. Got goosebumps? Until you know, know that I know xoxo Janis "
