I have recently been diagnosed with PD. I am 43. I have a job that requires a lot time and energy and has built in stress factors. I am trying to lower the stress at my job, and I was wondering if stress affects everyone else as much as it is affecting me in a physical way. I tend to get shaky and feel stiffer, then a few minutes later, it will go away. Any suggestions?

" Stress WILL start up tremors! Try to find a job with less stress( easier said than done) or maybe make a career change. You only have one body. Don't feel guilty..... "

" stress definately makes me feel worse, my symptoms really act up. Holidays are wonderful, no stress, pd disabates.

Maybe try to find time during the day to chill out and meditate. Try listening to classical music (10 second cycle music) that is the state our brains go into when in the sleep mode. Good for repairing "

" Everyone has said it very well already. Stress does affect PD and it is best to stay away from stressful situations. But sometimes it isn't possible, like at work.I have a lot of stress at work at times. I try to take a break and regroup when it's possible. "
