My podiatrist has suggested trying MBT shoes to help me start my gait, strengthen leg muscles, and improve posture. My Parkinson's is the type that affects my legs.

Hi, I don't know anything about MBT shoes are but my husband has problems with his foot and a weak ankle that he broke years ago. This was years before his PD and he had an insert made for his shoes which also helps. He also has a high instep which is another factor. He has tried different shoes, (e.g. New Balance) but they wear down easily but he finally has found a shoe which is much better. It's called SAS shoes and I know they are expensive but they are worth the money. I believe they have outlets where they could be cheaper.
He has a black pair for working outside, a beige pair for the summer with shorts and a good pair for his suit. Anyway, I just thought you might be interested this information. Conniebell
