" Hope you have faith in her teacher because I have NO FAITH in any of Bailee's teachers. Not one of them ever say anything POSITIVE; it is always Bailee is 'bad, refused to do her work, hateful, etc'. It makes me so mad. What do they want, 'ZOMBIES that do their schoolwork' without any of their teaching skills. It makes me just plain P O d. They are terrible about not knowing how to handle our special needs and only make things worse really by their 'scolding or discplining' in class. Thanks for the info about Calm Child, I think I will look into it for the homework time....Bailee is very difficult with the Math time, too. It doesn't help that I don't think her meds have been helping her the last few weeks anyway. Take care and hugs to you & Missy. "

" My 11 year old daughter takes 36Mg. of Concerta in the morning before school and 10mg. of Ritilan right after school. She is on the Honor Roll at her school. The ritilan helps her get through homework. The only side effect that we have seen is loss of appetite and hard to sleep at night. My best advice is have her eat before or with taking her medicine. Don't worry , you will find the right dosage and she will be ok in school. The only problem we have now with our daughter is she don't like to follow the rules and this only happens when the ritilan wear off in the evening. "

" My 8 year old has been on Concerta for a year and a half and the main side effects are the loss of appetite and trouble falling asleep. She is so skinny, she has not gained any weigth since she started but coninutes to grow! She used to stay up all hours but we started her on .01 mg clondine at 7:30 PM and she falls asleep within an hour and a half. It is amazing to see her "tired" again! We have not tried anything but Concerta as it seems to control the impulsiveness and inattentiveness very well! "
