I went to bring my mom to the doctor for fasting bloodwork this morning and she was eating breakfast. I spoke to Doreen last night and remimded her, but the nurses said they were not told. I have been on vacation this week. Haven't done much of anything really. I have been getting in some exercise. Ran some errands. Got my oil changed today and went to the car wash. After speaking with Harrys consultant yesterday, I have agreed to leave him on Ritalin for a further week, just so that I can look back and say that I gave it a good go before taking it away. My gut reaction is that the response we have had since Harry has been on it will not improve come next week and the conversation with the consultant will be about taking Harry off it and trying something new...1 Recommendation -

My mother always told me that "God only gives you what you can handle". I sometimes find that hard to believe;especially when your 7 year old child has been diagnosed with ADHD. But after a bad day at work and you go home and see your child and he tells you that he loves you very much, everything seems to make more sense. I'm so tired all the time lately. Don't know if it's from stress or from lack of decent sleep or what; but find myself nodding off at work. Not good. Nod off at the computer and am grumpy a lot I think. Most ppl think I'm "mellow" but really I'm just tired. I don't really feel depressed too much... not enough to be this tired.

Somehow I twisted my knee on Sunday night (exercising on Gazelle?) Don't remember doing anything. But Monday, woke up and every now and again would step and my knee would "give out" and there would be shooting pain. Wrapped it in ace bandage and went shopping with Mom and was ok. I have decided that as the time is passing, I am becoming more and more confused about ADHD, particularly the medication side of things. I am feeling really frustrated too. I know so much about Autism through my work with NAS and feel more in control of Emily and her needs. I just feel lost at the moment when I think of Harry. I also feel quite alone. Today my baby is 7. On Monday I was 43. On Sunday, I moved my mom to Angel House, an assisted Living Facility with 6 residents. She has her own room. It's cozy, the care seems good, ratio of about 3 residents to 1 CNA. They eat at the kitchen table, they cook the food there in the kitchen, like a home. And what does my mom do the first night?
