Going insane?

I'm not sure how to describe this. For the past 5 days I've been having nightmares about bad things happening to people that I know. I've also been having hallucinations of people that I know dying. I learned that the hallucinations were worsened by some medication that I'm on for tics. (I also have Tourettes)

During the last couple days I've also had this feeling that I was going crazy. When I say that, I mean it feels like I'm losing control of my own thoughts and that I'm LITERALLY going insane. It's scary. I've had Paranoia for years but I didn't tell anyone because I thought it was normal to think what I was thinking.

I'm still feeling like I'm going insane, and I'm not sure whether it's the anxiety (I have generalized anxiety) or the paranoia that's making me feel like I am.

I feel like I should go to a mental hospital...

" Thanks, I don't think my mom will let me go though. I need to be taken off one of my medications before I can go onto meds for paranoia/anxiety and she seems to want to wait until that happens before doing anything else... "

" I also have always had nightmares. Ive also had a problem with something terrible happening to my loved ones. I get these awful feelings sometimes like something bad is happening and i should be doing something to stop it but i dont know what it is. I've also blacked out and saw a loved one die but when i come to everything is fine. Its a very scary thing. Since ive been on Celexa things have gotten a bit better. My panic disorder still sometimes gets the best of me but for the most part im alot better.

I know what it's like to feel insane. I should have gotten therapy but i handled things on my own with my physician and the celexa and xanax when i have a panic attack.

You definately need to talk to someone. good luck to you and if you need a friend im here. "

" Hey everyone,

It turns out my problem is caused by very extreme anxiety. It's been left untreated for so long that it keeps getting worse and worse.

I'm going to be going to a day-program at the local hospital. Hopefully that should help.

I can't go onto any medications right now because of the medication I'm on for my tourettes that has bad interactions with SSRI's so that's out of the question.

I'm sorry you've been going through that Bigbassbaby, I hope things continue to improve for you. "
