" hey there!
i had a brainstem stroke and was totally paralyzed. intense rehab left me hemiplegic. i had a son after my injury and i am now 38. almost 20 years disabled! it makes me sad, i really thought by now i would be out of my wheelchair and almost fully recovered. i feel so close to being able to do things more independantly. after all half of my body works good, but my other side wont cooperate. i just had a ugly divorce and i am seeing myself in a whole new light. old, disabled and in a chair. when i was in love none of that mattered. i felt beautiful. im trying to accept myself but i still am exercising everyday hoping to get more recovery. maybe i should just let it go.
