i havent been on in while. i found out yesterday, that my dr wants me in the hospital on Monday to have a set of ECT treatments. i have been depressed and having super bad panic attacks. i'm hoping it works as well this time, as it did the first time. wish me luck.

I doubt it does much harm but perhaps the anasthetic is as helpful as the electricity
all it takes is a large dose of any valium type med under the tongue to stop any panic attack, by the way, maybe your psych doesnt know this or wants to earn more money by shocking you

I am not too familiar with ECT treatments. What do they do to you? How did this help you in the past? How long does it help you for? Did you experience side effects?
