Feeling weird on meds

I am starting medication for the second time for PA's. I was on Zoloft back in'06 but got off of it because I felt better and because it made me feel a little weird (liked drugged up). Now I am on something, it startes with a "C", and I am feeling weird on it. It might just be because I have anxiety and am aware that I am on meds, but I was just wondering if the first few days or weeks on meds feels weird to everyone.

" I have been on paxil for 13 years...increased up to 40mg. Anyway..I am in a real bad setback right now. I did try to take Celexa back in January, but I had a terrible time with that. I am so afraid to change meds...because of what happened with the Celexa. I hate taking meds. Today, my doctor put me on Klonopin, in addition to my Paxil (instead of increasing the Paxil)..to get me over the hump that I am in right now. Anyway..I am scared. I took a tablet...and am still crying and scared. I feel better right this second...but that is because I am home and not worrying about anything else right now...although I just got a thought. Ugh. This sucks. This really sucks. "

" Yea it sucks, but until science has a better way of doing brain medications, the only way is going to be trial and error. People's nervous systems are so variable, that it is very difficult to tailor make a drug for your particular problem--even if they could find out what that problem is. The good news is that you will know in a few weeks if klonopin is the right medication for you. Maybe you would want to consider zoloft or another SSRI if you don't like the Klonopin. There is also imipramine that is used for panic as well. "
