So I have read up on Lexapro. In all of the reading I have done I never came across it stating that it prevents panic attacks. Is there anyone out there who can say it really does stop them?

" Oh yes definately.I've been on lexapro for about three months and i no longer have full blown panic attacks, it is great! I was having chronic panic for about 9 months till my doctor suggested I start lexapro, due to hormone imbalance.The panic was horrible, and now I can say it is about 95% gone!! "

" I take paxil and it always worked for my panic attacks...I almost never had them on the meds although I was told lexapro should have the same effect although with less side effects...if I ever have to switch meds its the next one I would try "
