Hi I was wondering if anyone else is taking Celexa and how does it work for you? I'm starting it today and my doc says that it works well for anxiety.

" Yes I am. I found it works mainly on depression caused by anxiety which gave me the strength I needed to start taking control. It wasn't strong enough for me so we paired it with other things. I would give it a chance. I know it has work great for other people i know. "

" It made me sick.. Hands shaking, nauseated , agitated, etc.

I switched to LEXAPRO and It has less side effects and worked better for me. I take 10,g lexapro 1x a day, which is equal to 20mg celexa. Both drugs made by same company but lexapro is newer with less side effects and is FOR ANXIETY not just depression (which I do notnhave' I have anxiety Only!) see

" There is a change in me from taking Celexa. But for me, it helped with my depression and full blown panic attacks a lot, but now I have a more constant anxiety, and more of that feeling when you feel a panic attack is coming on... but then it often doesn't, it just hovers around that horrible feeling. So I don't know how to feel. That's just me, so I really hope it works well for you! Good luck :) "

" I took Celexa for about two years and it seemed to lessen my anxiety overall so that I was able to keep my panic attacks in check. I took 40 mg. I stopped taking it because it no longer worked for me post partum. "
