Alright, I thought I would benefit from getting a second opinion from my fellow panic sufferers about some symptoms I've been having as of late.
Recently I haven't had any major panic episodes, ultimately my symptoms seemed to have waned to a dull throb which irritate me from time to time. However, a few days ago I began to feel terrible chest pains which would radiate from my back to my upper chest and end on my left side. As well a very unusual tingling (which I would usually associate with my panic attacks) has sprung up in my hands. Now I know that the logical thing to do would be to go and see my doctor, but I've gone to see him about 10 times in the past two months. Moreover, I'm quite sure that he'll attribute my pain to my panic. I'm frightened - to say the least - because the pain is constant and brutal and has a tendency to sneak up on me when I least expect it. Any advice? Posted on 09/23/09, 10:09 pm |

I've actually been having eather the same feeling or a very similar feeling myself lately. I atribute it to my panic as well but the same as you, I have my fears. Is your pain like a sharp shooting pain? Mine seems to shoot out fast from my back to my chest. Feels like it could kill me! Good thing it only lasts for a few seconds! Knock on wood!!! And I get a tingling in my fingers too but not so much.
Hang in there! You are NOT alone! Arnt our bodies so much fun when so many strange things can happen to freak us out?!?! Mostly harmless things and we cant tell the difference! Darn it! Nice to meet you! I'm Nikki.

Sometimes it will manifest itself as a sharp pain radiating outward from my left shoulder blade or mid-chest. However, that shooting pain is only temporary and actually accompanies a much more deeply seeded ache. The pain is akin to that of an overused muscle, the feeling is deep and dull but profound. I feel it in my upper chest across both the left and right sides, it also hurts to breathe at times.
