" Well, if I lived anywhere close to you I would definitely say lets be friends. But all I can say is lets be support group friends since I live all the way across the country on an island in Alaska. I am 28 and have had a rough 3 years because of Pancreatitis. I also have a husband that loves his beer. It sucks always seeing it in the house and not being able to have even one, but I stay strong and tell myself better to avoid it than indulge in even one and end up in the hospital. And it is still a little fun to watch people make idiots of themselves when they drink and you can tell them you saw it all even if they don't remember! Good luck meeting people in your area. "

" Raina:

I'm so sorry you're having such trouble with the alcohol. It is a tough age and as you said, everyone around you can have alcohol. Maybe you could start a new trend - having a party once a month that's alcohol free. Instead, you can have games to play and drink non-alcoholic beer or bubbling wine juice with no alcohol. Would that be an option? Just something different so you wouldn't feel alone or under pressure to drink.

We can be here for you virtually. Any time you are struggling, let us know and we will be here for you to get you through the rough times. We want you to stay as well as possible. So let us know when we can help! "
