It hasn't really helped him gain weight, but it has really helped him maintain his weight............
I have also used GNC wheybolic extreme 60 (as in 60 g of protein with 1 g of fat) This one is pumped up with some other stuff and has some pretty good research behind it (for athletes). It builds muscle best if drunk first (I mix in rice milk) and followed by exercise. I walk or garden but I am not breaking any speed records. I prefer the first one but my husband and I both use the second sometimes before we decide to torture ourselves with some home project! You can view all the ingredients on line and run them past your doctor/ nutritionist for your specific circumstances. peace lynette2

* Small, frequent meals: 3 meals and 3 snacks a day.
* Keep fluids to a minimum at meal times, but don't forget to drink between meals.
* Add dried milk powder, whey or soy protein powder to foods (mashed potatoes, eggs, soups).
* Consider high-carbohydrate and easy-to-digest foods such as: baked potato, Cream of Wheat, dry toast, rice, pasta, saltine crackers, animal crackers, and pretzels.
* Snack on dried fruit and add to pancakes, grains, cereals, yogurt, chicken or vegetable salad. Cook in muffins, chicken or pork entrees.
* Sip on higher calorie fluids such as juices (try cranberry, grape and nectars), milk, homemade smoothies, and commercial nutritional supplements, for example, Ensure or Boost.

The best food choices for those suffering from chronic pancreatitis are fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, and nonfat/low fat dairy, and lean cuts of meat.
There are a few things you must completely avoid, such as alcohol and fried/greasy/high fat foods (such as creamy sauces, fast food, full fat meat and dairy, and anything fried). These foods can cause your pancreas to release more enzymes at once than it normally would, leading to an attack. There are also foods that you should eat only sparingly, if at all. These include refined carbohydrates (white bread, sugar, and high fructose corn syrup) which cause your pancreas to release more insulin than more wholesome complex carbohydrates (such as whole grains, fruits, vegetables, and legumes). In general, I recommend minimizing processed foods, which are either high in fat, high in refined sugars, or sometimes both.
Body builders have very little body fat....just a thought.....

You'd be suprised if you lurk around bodybuilding forums (tnation, bodybuilding.com, etc...) and there's a small amount of CP'ers, not AP guys that do heavy lifting and are ripped. They all seems to be around their 30-40's.
But who know's they could be on roids.
