Hi,
My twin sister had a whipple in Oct of 2007. She went through the Whipple surgery and was diagnosed as a stage 2. She went thru 6 months of gemzar (chemo) and then a year of a vaccine trial at the University of Chicago. We are 52 years of age. At this time she has a cat scan done every 2 months to see if there are any spread of the disease. To date everything is going fine. She is back to work at the middle school. She is very scared every time a scan is done. Pancreatic cancer can come back and frequently does in the lymph nodes around the pancreas or in the liver etc. Email and let us know how you or your family member is doing. This has been a great site and everyone here are very helpful. Bless you and hope to here from you. Pat
