Okay, I know Pat said that Gemzar can cause edema. Which, could that be both the ankles/legs and arms? I was told by my step-dad that the doctor said he didn't think the medication would cause the swelling, which makes me so mad!! I looked it up on the Internet, and it said that it can cause Edema in 20% of patients. Wouldn't the doctor KNOW the side effects? I swear the doctors here don't know anything!!
Anyway, my Mom had to go to the hospital yesterday, because she had an infection. I think they gave her antibiotics through an IV. She is home now, but is so tired. But I am going to go see her today though she will probably be sleeping the whole time. I want to spend as much time as possible with her, even if she doesn't know I am there. I am feeling horrible because this is so hard!! And I HATE this cancer!! I keep feeling sad, then I am okay and happy, then depressed like all day yesterday and this morning, then mad like I am right now. This is just so hard!! Posted on 02/07/09, 01:02 pm |
