This is a horrible roller coaster ride.
First my son says he will ask for a second opinion if he doesn't like what the first oncologist says. Good! Then he says he doesn't want to spend the rest of his life being sick from the chemo. I asked him if he would at least give the chemo a try since he may have little side effects. He wouldn't answer me. So is he just going to let himself die in a few weeks? What will the oncologist tell him? That there is no sense in going through chemo cause there might be side effects? He says he is feeling OK right now other than stomach pain and diarrhea, and I guess he thinks those are caused by the surgery and not the cancer. So will he wait until the cancer gets too bad and THEN decide he wants to do the chemo? What will the oncologist tell him then? Tough shit, you waited too long!?!? I don't like not knowing. I don't like having to guess, which is usually the worst it can be. I HATE THIS! I HATE THIS! I HATE THIS!!! Proofer Posted on 06/21/12, 08:23 pm |

Update...I just talked to my son and he is going to try chemo. He said he may stop it if the side effects get too bad, but he is going to at least give it a try. If he can have a few more months with his son and without so much pain, I am happy!!!
