I have had painful intercourse for over 20 years and it has always been a strain on our marriage. I usually just have sex just to keep things going smoothly, but I think every time that I have alot of pain I get more mad that my husband would want to put me thru the pain. He gets mad that I don't get excited about sex. I am sooo very stressed and mad. I have gone to every kind of doctor and tried many treatments, I know what causes it and there is nothing I can do about it. I have about 1 or 2 days a month where it might not b e painful, but my husband wants sex a couple times a week at least.

" I assume your husband of over 20 years knows what is wrong with you, so next time you go to the doctor have him come with you. Then get the doctor to explain things... often times with men it is that they don't take our word for it and need someone else to explain things to them. Also, have you tried other, non-vaginal, ways of love making? I found that very helpful and much more enjoyable! "
