i also have some bleeding, i have been checked for infection, but i am clean, i wonder if it could be because i am post menapausal. i also, had 66 stitches dureing child birth. 13 years ago. plus. i have suffered sexual abuse, when i was very young. my doctor says it is because my vaginal wall is atrophied from menapause, but i don't think all woman hate sex after meapause. what do i do?

I know some people on here don't think this is a legitimate reason for pain, but for me my pain is being cause by vaginsmus..which can be caused by traumatic childbirth as well as other trauma. If you would like for me to explain to you more, feel free to message me.

I think your Dr is probably right. I've been looking into this while breastfeeding my first baby because I think I have a similar hormonal vaginal change that has caused sex, and even masturbation, to be painful. I too have been checked for infection and am clean. We've tried lubricants but it doesn't really help so we're going to wait until I finish breastfeeding. I think you can get hormone cream (estrogen) but best to check with your Dr.
